Advanced Stand Up Comedy Workshop: O.K. you've taken the "Learn to be a Stand Up Comic" class ,and crafted five minutes of material. you performed at the class show and got some laughs. It felt good didn't it? You want more don't you..? I knew you did. While the first class was a lot about over coming your fears, now it's time to try and get better. More in class writing exercises, and writing at home assignments, and lots of in class workshopping of ideas. These are the parts of being a stand up that never end, always striving for more, because you act is an oral report that is never finished. For those that want to continue the journey, we are now offering our advanced Stand Up Comedy class! This six class workshop (2 hr each) will conclude with students performing the material they've created to a live audience of friends and family at a graduation show. This show is also open to the public, and takes place on Saturday, March 20 at 2 p.m.

With Aileen by his side, harnessing all of his skill and determination, Crowley teams up with a brilliant, but unappreciated and unconventional scientist, Dr. Robert Stonehill. Dinner at Fire & Ice: Come join me for dinner at Fire & Ice in Cambridge. I've been to similar restaurants and it's a lot of fun and good food!! You pick out your food from a raw buffet and bring it over to the grill and watch them cook it for you! Check out their "Fire" (food) menu here: http://fire-ice.com/index.php?src=gendocs&ref=Fire They also have an "Ice" menu consisting of their drink specials. The link to it is on the Fire menu page. The price is $16.95 per person and it's all you can eat. Please bring CASH if you can. I'm not sure if they are able to split checks here. I've been told they will only seat the party if all members are present, so if you RSVP yes, please be on time. They do accept reservations and suggest making them a few days in advance since it's the day before Valentine's day, so I'm allowing maybe RSVPs for now, but I will need to have a definite number by the Wednesday before. Callahan State Park Trail Walk: Celebrate the love between you and your greyhound and make new friends on Valentine's Day with a walk with other greyhounds and their people in Callahan State Park in Framingham, MA. Let's park in the Millwood Street lot and meet where the trails criss-cross at 2:30. (Walk a few hundred feet from the lot and you'll see the criss-cross.) Snow will not cancel this event, as Jacoby loves the snow! Particularly icy trail conditions, however, may. So check your email the day before the meetup for any updates (only those people who RSVP yes or maybe will get update emails). Please note our group's rules before signing up for this event. This walk will be on trails and not in any fenced-in fields. There is an unofficial off-lead dog park in Callahan, but we will not be letting our greyhounds off lead there. Snowshoeing 101: The ease of snowshoeing has led it to become one of the fastest growing winter sports in the country. Simply strap on a pair and go on a winter hike, backpack, or climb! Join the staff of REI as we go over the basics of snowshoeing, focusing on basic terminology, appropriate clothing and the gear that you will need to get outside and on the trails. In addition, we will talk about some places to go. If you ever thought about getting into snowshoeing, this is a great introduction to the sport!

Winter Indoor Walk and Academic Adventure: Boston University: Boston University has heated buildings with long corridors that will allow us to have an indoor walk. Along the corridors are interesting academic diagrams, pictures and photographs. As an added bonus there is a free public observatory night held by the Astronomy Department. If skies are clear we will spend a few minutes looking at the planets and stars through a telescope. Let�?�'s meet at the entrance of the Boston University Observatory. It is in front of room 520 (the fifth floor) on 725 Commonwealth Avenue in Boston at 7:15. We will still walk and meet at this location even if the observatory is closed due to cloudy skies. There is a nice bench to wait for others and several really cool Astronomy images. There is free parking along some of the side streets on the Brookline side of Commonwealth Avenue. It is also on the B branch of the Green Line.
